The number of County FA and RA Youth Councils across the country is growing rapidly. There are now over 200 young people who volunteer as Youth Council members. The RA-FA Youth Council delivers the RA-FA Development Programme which is a season-long development opportunity for all Youth Council members, County FA staff and County/Local RA committee members. The programme includes a number of opportunities and benefits that aims to up skill the Youth Council workforce, assist in the running and recruitment of Youth Councils, and offer networking opportunities for the fantastic Youth Council workforce.

What Do I Get Being Part of the Programme?

There are a number of exciting benefits and opportunities  to the RA-FA Development Programme. These benefits are completely free of charge and optional – meaning you can use any part of the Programme, totally free, whenever you like!

  • A season-long development programme aiming to improve your skills and impact your Youth Council can make on refereeing
  • Plenty of downloadable resources for a range categories, including; running your Youth Council, Referee Development Fund, supporting young referees, FA materials, and more!
  • Free booking on to all RA-FA Regional Development Days
  • Free booking on to the RA-FA National Development Day
  • One-to-one support with a RA-FA Youth Council Regional Representative
  • Information newsletters from the RA-FA Youth Council
  • Plus a range of benefits being added across the season!

Who Can Be Part of the Programme?

Any member of a Youth Council (either within a County FA or Local RA) can join the RA-FA Development Programme. The Programme is also open to all County FA staff and Local/County RA committee members.

We are pleased to bring the RA-FA Development Programme to as many people as possible, totally free.
