First Meeting of the Year!

In September, our new team met up for the first time at Wembley Stadium. With the departures of both Vice Chairs Alex Bradley and George Lowe, this meant the RA-FA Youth Council had two new but familiar faces who were given the opportunity of a promotion and a chance at being in the RA-FA Youth Council Senior Team alongside returning Chair Deryll, it was decided that Joe Larkin who was Programme Representative for West Midlands and Bruno Gaisie Programme Representative for London & Central would make the step up. Congratulations to both of them.

New additions also include Lewis Dawson from West Riding, Seth Galia from Northampton, Ollie Kaya from Berks and Bucks, Dan Ellis from Worcestershire, William Cannon from London, Harvey Newstead from Norfolk and finally, Chloe Matthews from Staffordshire who takes the first ever Female Lead Officer. Congratulations to all of them.

Returning regional representatives include Mitch Terry from Wiltshire, Joe Cunningham from Manchester, Liam Giles from the Amateur Football Alliance.

Our new team met debuting their new blue kit for the season and at our first meeting of the season, we put some vigorous and productive plans in place for the season in the hope of making this season our best season yet. Plans to improve our popular Referee Development Fund has started and communication will be out about this very shortly. Our new RA-FA Development Programme is continuing to develop and we have more and more ideas to progress the Young Referee Workforce across the country. This includes networking and development days for our young referee volunteers to pass on good practice from both a national level and a regional level, we will also be looking to send out information on a monthly occasion to keep our network up to date with events, changes and the teams progress.

Our next meeting will be in November, before that we will be launching the Referee Development Fund which starts very soon. Watch this space.
